I don't know anything about how Domperidone affects this disease. I only used it in the context of increasing my milk supply. Most of the women I know who have taken it have either struggled with weight gain or been unable to lose weight. I was also on Paxil for Post Partum Depression which added to my weight gain. I know that added to my weight gain as well. I did feel like it increased my appetite and I know other mothers on Domperidone that foudn the same thing. I highly recommend you join the forums at www.bfar.org as there is a lot of discussion about Domperidone specifically in the Galactagogues forum about the side effects and dosages of this drug. I think you will find a lot of information there and can ask more detailed questions. I will post a blog next week on this site on 2 March 2009 discussing more about Domperidone and the other galactagoues I used that I think you will find very informative. I was just able to start trying Domperidone. It's only been a week. WHAT DID YOU SAY ABOUT A 40 POUND WEIGHT GAIN???!!?? I have MS and the i.v.steroids I have taken in the past are enough to make me stay away from anything that makes me want to eat more. My stomach does not empty as a mornal one does.
